Deputy seizes large marijuana stash during I-95 South traffic stop

CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies in Camden County seized a substantial stash of marijuana products and arrested a driver during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 South on Aug. 19.

The sheriff’s office said Deputy Lasko initiated the traffic stop early in the morning after observing a vehicle speeding down I-95 South.

Upon approaching the car, Lasko observed that the driver and passenger appeared nervous and smelled a heavy scent of marijuana along with air freshener used to mask it.

Sergeant Goodin, Deputy Burch and Deputy Rivera arrived at the scene to assist Deputy Lasko with searching the vehicle.

During the search, deputies seized 28 bags of THC lozenges, 16 bags of THC gummies, 17 THC vapes, 138 marijuana pre-rolls, 10 bags or jars of green marijuana bud, two mason jars containing marijuana bud and loose ground marijuana shake and two THC lotion containers.

Authorities charged the driver with speeding and possession of marijuana over one ounce. The driver was then transported to the Camden County Public Safety Complex.
