JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Lonna Lauramore spent another night in the Duval County Jail on Wednesday.

Police say she lied to them about what happened in the hours before her son, 21-month-old Lonzie Barton, was reported missing.

"Lonna is a compulsive liar. She's a liar. People need to see the truth," said David Pembelton.

Pembelton and Ransom Barefoot said they know Lauramore and her husband Chris Barton well. They described how Lauramore has been acting since the search for Lonzie began.

"I do believe she knows more than she's telling police," said Barefoot.

Lauramore didn't say anything as she was booked into jail.

"If it's not Ruben Ebron who did it, then why aren't you screaming into the cameras, asking whoever did do it, just give up where your baby is," said Diena Thompson.

Thompson's daughter Somer was abducted, raped and killed in 2009. She was front and center, begging for someone to bring her child home. She said Lauramore's demeanor, body language and mounting evidence from police speak volumes.

"Tell the truth, be straightforward. At this point, the jig is up I guess. It's time to come clean. That's your baby," said Thompson.

Police say Lauramore knew her son needed help, but didn't take him to the hospital after seeing a bruise on his head and fluid coming from his ears.

"I don't know why you didn't take him to the doctor. Any mother in her right mind would drop it all to go to the hospital," said Barefoot.

Thompson said she has reached out to Lonzie's father on Facebook, but has not heard back from him
