Domino's delivered free pizzas to police in Clay County on Saturday to show support for law enforcement following the death of five officers in Dallas.
The pizzas were delivered to Green Cove Springs Police Department with a handwritten note that said the company wanted to extend its gratitude for courage the officers show everyday.
It said in part:
We know this event hit close to home for everyone, so we have made you these pizzas for the brothers & sisters in the police department that have given their lives for the better of the world. We thank you for everything you guys do!"
The police department posted about its gratitude on its Facebook page.
Law enforcement in Ohio also received free pizzas on Saturday.
A CashMax store in Springfield sent five pizzas from Pizza Hut to police as a show of appreciation.
