JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Following a day of public scrutiny, the Duval County Canvassing Board met Friday morning to review more ballots - now with a new judge.
Judge Brent Shore resigned from the board yesterday after an investigation from the Times-Union showed that he donated several times to President Trump’s re-election campaign and had several political signs in his yard. The problem with this is that those actions may violate judicial rules.
Judge Gary Flower served as chair in today’s morning meeting and called for ballots to continue being reviewed. Flower said that he did send an email that would be forwarded to the Secretary of the State asking about the procedure of Shore’s reassignment and what should happen to those ballots.
Flower also addressed the issue of banning recording and photography of the meeting.
