JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Duval County man was arrested Dec. 11, in connection with an armed robbery in May, according to a police report released Friday.
The U.S. Marshal’s fugitive Task Force arrested Edward O’Brian Squire, 46, Friday. He was charged with robbery with a firearm in connection with an armed robbery that happened in May at a Ponte Vedra Beach AT&T store.
Police say Squire entered the store on A1A North and displayed a handgun, then ordered an employee to a back room. An arrest report says Squire then removed 20 cell phones, which are valued at over $14,000, and then fled the store.
Police said a Crime Stoppers tip led to the identity of the suspect. Additional evidence was obtained after the tip that allowed detectives to obtain an arrest warrant.
Squire is being held in the St. Johns County Jail on no bond.
