1 dead after fiery crash on Harts Road Sunday morning, JSO says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person is dead after two cars collided at the intersection of Chestnut Oak Drive N and Harts Road Sunday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO said they responded to the crash with injuries and a car on fire around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

A gray Nissan Murano flipped several times after colliding with a gray Dodge Charger, killing the driver of the Nissan.

The initial investigation showed the two cars collided as the Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on Harts Road and the Nissan Murano was turning left from Chestnut Oak Drive N onto southbound Harts Road, officials said.

The driver of the Dodge was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
