JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people have died in deadly crashes overnight in Jacksonville, according to police.
At 2:20 a.m. Thursday, Jacksonville police officers responded to single-car crash on Lem Turner Road. Officers said the car hit the property of the Lem Turner Collision Center.
Two people were inside the car, according to police. One died at the scene and the other was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A woman was killed in another overnight crash on Park Street. Officers said she went off the roadway and hit a tree.
First responders with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department performed life-saving measures but she did not survive.
Police are working to learn what caused both crashes.
The identities of those involved in the crashes have not been released.
