JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman has been arrested following a shooting at a convenience store that left a teenager dead, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Shaetavia Cooper, 23, was arrested Sunday and faces a charge of second-degree murder, JSO announced Monday morning.

Loved ones gathered to remember McClendon at a vigil Sunday. “She was a good girl, no trouble,” McClendon’s aunt, Donna Ghant, told Action News Jax.
Cooper is accused of shooting and killing 16-year-old Teneria McClendon after an argument outside a Wawa on Wilson Boulevard Saturday night.
Family members said she had dreams of becoming a nurse. Action News Jax checked into Cooper’s criminal history.
In the State of Florida, she has no violent criminal history. Records show she has traffic violations.
MClendon’s family created a GoFundMe for anyone who would like to support them during this difficult time. “She was my first born and meant the world to me. I’m still in disbelief that my baby is gone,” her mother wrote.
