JSO: Two 14-year-olds shot in drive-by near downtown Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — 2: 45 p.m. UPDATE:

Three teenagers were walking down the street when an SUV drove by and opened fire, JSO said. Two 14-year-olds were shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. The third teen with them was not hit.

The shooting happened on East 3rd Street and Franklin Street. JSO said they’ve located over 10 shell casings so far.

There is no one is in custody and no suspect information at this time.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has responded to a reported shooting in Eastside Jacksonville, near Downtown.

JSO said the incident happened at the 1300 block of Bridier Street, near MLK Parkway.

Action News Jax is working to learn more details.

The sheriff’s office is scheduled to give a press conference at 1:50 p.m.
