JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Ernie Johnston, 61, was coming out of Broudy’s liquor store last Wednesday when he saw what appeared to be a small group of young women in his car.
He went to approach them and was stabbed, according to Jacksonville Beach police.
Kim Johnston, Ernie’s wife, said when this all happened she couldn’t even see him in the hospital because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Jacksonville Beach Police confirm that 23-year-old Allison Gregor was arrested and has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and trespassing with a deadly weapon.
Gregor and her friends tried to flee the scene, but were apprehended by police .3 miles down the road.
Johnston remains in the hospital.
