Wrong-way driver killed in I-95 crash at Pecan Park Road, troopers say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — All southbound lanes on I-95 South at Pecan Park Road have reopened following a deadly crash Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to a FHP report, a 2012 Toyota Rav4 was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes on I-95 just after 2 a.m., and collided with a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia. The driver of the Toyota died, troopers said. An identity has not been released at this time. The 38-year-old driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

The area was shut down for six and a half hours before reopening.
