Fight at gentlemen’s club leads to one man dead on Jacksonville’s southside, officials say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a man in his 20s is dead after an argument at Passions Gentlemen’s Club located in the 9800 block of Beach Blvd Monday morning.

Around 1:36 a.m., JSO responded to the gentlemen’s club in reference to a shooting. When police arrived, they found a man in a car who had crashed into a JEA utility station.

Through investigation, police found that an argument inside the club had led to the shooting in the parking lot.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, JSO says.

JSO said the man was inside a vehicle when he was shot. After being shot, the man later crashed his car into a JEA utility station located at the end of the strip mall in the parking lot.

Police have no witnesses or suspects as of 5:30 a.m., Aug. 16.
