JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
The Department of Health and Duval County Public Schools have teamed up to offer flu vaccinations at schools starting Nov. 30 through Dec. 18.
DOH will set up clinics each weekday for a set number of hours to provide vaccinations to students who have a signed consent form.
DCPS has been sending consent forms to parents that must be signed for a student to receive their flu shot.
The vaccination is not mandatory, and a student cannot receive the vaccination without a signed consent form.
DCPS stated to contact your child’s school to see when the DOH will be setting up at their school specifically.
For parents and guardians who are uninsured, there is a free flu vaccination voucher they can receive as part of the #fluvaxjax program.
Visit fluvaxjax.com, and select “Get a Vaccine.” Then select “Click Here” to get a free flu vaccine voucher.
