JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An inmate in the custody of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office died on Monday while he was being treated at a local hospital, JSO said Thursday.
JSO said Marvin McBride, 62, was arrested Tuesday, April 18, on a charge of delivering meth within 1,000 feet of a place of worship.

McBride was taken from the Pre-Trial Detention Facility to a local hospital on Monday, May 8 due to “a prior medical condition,” JSO said.
McBride remained under doctors’ care until he died, JSO said.
JSO said the investigation into McBride’s death is ongoing as investigators wait on the results of McBride’s autopsy from the Medical Examiner’s Office.
