When Kamala Harris was sworn-in on Wednesday morning—young girls and women of color, everywhere, felt their possibilities become limitless.
Cianna McQueen is one of them.
“And to just see when she put her hand on the Bible, it’s crazy! It makes me feel like I can achieve anything!” McQueen exclaimed.

When Cole asked her if she ever thought she’d see a woman of color serve as vice president in her life time, the sophomore told Cole: “To be honest, half-way, kind of...not necessarily as high as a vice president though, just in a another seat of government.”
So it’s safe to say, Wednesday exceeded her dreams.
“It makes me want to just reach out to all kinds of teens, especially people of color. Not just Blacks, but any people of color. And just to raise my voice even louder!” McQueen said enthusiastically.
