Jacksonville event plans to give Thanksgiving food to 1,500 families on Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Families can grab a free Thanksgiving meal this weekend in Jacksonville.

Farm Share, a food nonprofit, is teaming up with first responders, elected officials and retired Jacksonville Jaguars players to give away free holiday means to feed 1,500 families in the Jacksonville area.

The meals will include turkeys and other side items.

Families are required to wear a mask and arrive in a vehicle or trunk or cargo bed.

The drive-thru event will take place Saturday, Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. until supplies last, at the Florida State College of Jacksonville located at 101 W State Street.
