JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 3-year-old girl is in stable condition after being shot in the leg in a shooting in Durkeeville Wednesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO says the shooting happened in the 1800 block of McMillian Street around 6 p.m.
When police arrived to the scene they found the 3-year-old girl with a single gunshot wound to the leg. She was transported to the hospital for her injuries.
Department of Children and Family Services were contacted for the situation as well.
Police do not know the motive of the shooting or who shot the girl.
