JSO: Search for man connected to murder at Southside apartment complex

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man they believe to be connected to a murder that happened Jan. 2.

The sheriff’s office and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department were called out to the 4900 block of Skyway Drive Sunday morning in reference to a traffic crash. When they arrived, they found a man unresponsive in a private parking lot, and transported him to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The police said while at the hospital, medical staff determined his injuries were not consistent with a traffic crash and the victim’s death was ruled a homicide.
