JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
Downtown Vision Inc, VyStar Credit Union, and the Florida Theatre announced a new four-week concert series, Jax River Jams.
This multi-week outdoor event is free to the public, and will begin April 8 on the St. Johns Riverfront in Downtown Jacksonville, and every Thursday during the month of April.
Jax River Jams will include national headliners with local openers, featuring a small business, and artists markets with local food trucks, and bars with craft beers and spirits.
The genre of artists will range from country to rock, and camp chairs and picnic blankets are encouraged.
This event will be in accordance with CDC guidelines, and will have hand sanitizer stations available, face masks, and social distancing will be required.
The artists, nationally, regionally and locally, have yet to be announced.
“We invite employees to stay Downtown after work, and for the community to come Downtown and enjoy this free live music concert series safely in a spacious outdoor environment,” said Jake Gordon, CEO of Downtown Vision.
“We’re excited to cultivate this amenity for Downtown and are working hard to create an inclusive event where there will be something for everyone,” said Gordon.
This new concert series is designed to bring more people downtown, to see the potential the city has and showcase it’s vibrant, 24-hour urban neighborhood.
