Police looking for man who robbed Wells Fargo on Atlantic Blvd

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man that robbed a Wells Fargo in the 1500 block of Atlantic Blvd Friday morning.

Police say a 911 call came in around 9:20 a.m. about a bank robbery.

JSO says a man walked into the bank, went up to one of the tellers, and passed her a note. The note indicated that he had a gun.

He told the teller not to pull the alarm.

The teller complied with the man and gave him the money. He then fled the scene.

Police are now looking for this man. He can be described as a white man about 45-50 years of age, about 5′ 10″, around 190 pounds. He was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, a white baseball cap that said Callaway Golf and he was wearing a mask.

JSO says they are working on releasing pictures of the suspect.

There were four employees and two customers in the bank during the robbery. No one was hurt.

Police did say that they detained a suspect they believed was involved in the incident but through investigation, they realized he wasn’t involved. He was later released.
