JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The COVID-19 pandemic has created an even greater need than usual in the community. Now, the Salvation Army is putting everything they have into trying to rescue Christmas.

The Salvation Army has been ringing the bell in Northeast Florida for 129 years.
This year Rosa Nicholas, the Salvation Army Kettle Coordinator, told Action News Jax they have between 600-700 bell ringers, but they usually have about 1500.
