These COVID-19 vaccination sites will close this week in Jacksonville

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — Multiple COVID-19 vaccination sites will close this week in Jacksonville because the demand is low.

The last day to get the coronavirus vaccine at Regency Square Mall, Edward Waters College, the Legends Center or Celebration Church is Friday, June 18. The Jaxport site will close on Sunday, June 20.

The latest data shows just over half of the country has received at least one vaccine dose.

President Joe Biden’s administration is still hoping to have 70% of adults vaccinated against COVID-19 by July 4.

The Florida Department of Health said people will still be able to get the vaccine at their doctor’s office or at retail pharmacies.
