JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — PuroClean Emergency Services is already receiving calls to decontaminate workplaces across Jacksonville due to COVID-19.
While some jobs are precautionary measures, others are alleged confirmed cases.
QUICK NOTES:
- PuroClean Owner, Wayne Terry, said his company is treating this as a bio-hazard situation.
- So far, the company has had six coronavirus-related jobs. He said they have gone into banks, cable companies, and commercial buildings.
- Employees go inside the contaminated site in full gear: respiratory mask, two pairs of gloves tucked inside a hazmat suit. They use a disinfectant on all surfaces and then spray a fog throughout the air to kill the virus.
- For people at home, they are encouraging that you wash your hands and avoid touching your face.
- Two tips they believe people forget:
- Wash your hands after getting a snack from a vending machines (if you’re still working).
- They also recommend washing your hands before handling any ice cubes.
