JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Duval County School Board members voted 7-0 Tuesday night to approve the sale of Duval County Public Schools headquarters.
DCPS will sell the property to Ashco Inc. for $15.1 million.
The sale will not close for another three years, giving the district time to find a new location for its headquarters.
Before reaching the final agreement on the sale, school board members spent months discussing what should happen to the property and debating options for the district’s future administrative offices.
The unanimous vote moves the sale forward and starts the process of relocating district headquarters ahead of the closing date.
