JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Several Ed White High School students are being disciplined after a Facebook video went viral.

It shows clips from fight after fight among its students.

Tens of thousands of people saw the video on Facebook before it was taken down.

The video is set to dramatic music, as in a movie preview, but former Ed White student Tanisha Clements said she’s not amused.

“My little sister goes here and I don’t want her caught up in that. I don’t want her being involved in any of the violence or anything like that and it scared me because it could’ve been her,” Clements said.

A Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) spokesperson said several students have been disciplined, but no charges have been filed, and that the investigation is continuing

“I think charges are necessary because it’s been this many years and discipline just isn’t helping the violence at all from the school,” Clements said.

But that isn't always easy, said Action News Jax Crime and Safety Expert Ken Jefferson.

"It's not quite that simple all the time. A lot of these fights now are being captured on videotape and generally what you see is a mass of people surrounding those who are fighting and it's hard to determine the principals in the fight – who started it."

Clements said she just hopes students walk away when they see a fight, before more teens get hurt.

"If you're here and you think that fighting is the answer, it's really not. There's other ways that you can go about stuff instead of hurting somebody else," Clements said.
