JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Edward Waters College plans to apply for NCAA Division II membership.
The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) formally invited to Edward Waters College to join their conference. Edward Waters was previously a member of the SIAC from 1930-1935.
EWC will compete as an NAIA Independent this season in football and maintain their membership with the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) in basketball, volleyball, track and dield and cross country.
It will also continue to compete in the Association of Independent Institutions (AII) in baseball and softball next year.
