DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — The lawyers for Michael Dunn will now have until the end of the month to file an appeal.
Action News learned a judge granted the extension until June 29 that was requested back on May 29.
Dunn was sentenced to life in prison for shooting and killing 17-year-old Jordan Davis in 2012 after an argument at a gas station over loud music.
