ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A Cessna 172 crashed and overturned earlier this month in St. Johns County.
The plane came from Flyers Flight Academy in St. Augustine.
Our cameras were rolling as investigators with the federal aviation administration were surveying the wreckage with the victims who were on it.

We received FAA documents detailing past incidents.
According to documents, another plane crashed in September of 2017, when pilot error caused a plane's engine to fail.

The chief of the flight academy did not want to talk to us on camera saying he can’t speak about an ongoing investigation.
FAA records show in 2019, there have been seven incidents involving planes at the flight academy.
The FAA is now investigating the latest plane crash.
