DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — Christmas Day is especially hard for the family of a local man who disappeared in June.
Frank Brown's disappearance after being released from the hospital in June has been tough on his family, but his mother says it's been even tougher around the holidays.
There is no word on where Frank Brown could be. His mother Marie Brown says all she can do is hold onto the hope that he'll be found safe.
"I wonder everyday, what happened to him, what happened to him ... I just don’t know," Marie Brown said.
She says this is the first Christmas without him.
"The only thing the nurse said, was he’s gone," Marie Brown said.
She says her son was admitted Baptist Hospital on June 2, for a seizure. Then on June 3, she says her son called home saying he was being released. But after 20 minutes of waiting downstairs they were told he had disappeared.
Now almost seven months later, her son is on JSO's missing person’s list.
Marie Brown says it's tough to handle.
Action News Jax reached out to the hospital. A representative said in part, "Frank Brown was in good condition when he was discharged from Baptist Medical Center.”
Marie Brown says she has a message for her son this holiday.
"Merry Christmas to him and I love him," Marie Brown said.
She says she has an attorney and is planning on taking legal action.
