JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A new Jaguars season is quickly approaching, as the boys in black and teal already have one day of training camp under their belts.

Thursday, Action News Jax spoke with three families who traveled a combined 5,200 miles for the first day of training camp.

“[I’m from] Rochester, New York,” Jags fan Jasmine Gonzalez said.

“We’re all the way from Manchester, England,” Rick Grange added.

In all, hundreds of fans made it out for Thursday’s practice.

Expectations are sky-high this year for the Jaguars, who lost to the Patriots in last season’s AFC Championship.

Carol Shanks and her grandson, Colby, came from Georgia to see the action and get some autographs.  Colby believes this could be a special season.

“They have a chance to go undefeated in my opinion, but they have to beat out the Patriots.  They play them week two, but they’ve got a good shot,” Colby Shanks said.

If you missed the Jags Thursday, they’ll have another open practice Friday at 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
