Federal vaccination satellite sites move to Beaches, Oceanway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The two federal satellite sites at the Normandy Senior Center and the Hammond Community Center will be closing this weekend and will be moving to the Beaches and Oceanway.

The two new sites will be the Carver Center in Jacksonville Beach and the Oceanway Community Center off Sago Avenue. The sites will be walk-ups and will have a chance to offer 500 vaccines each. Both the Johnson and Johnson vaccine and the Pfizer vaccine will be offered.

The sites will close on March 23, but will reopen for a short period to give out the second dose for the Pfizer recipients.

The sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
