JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Firefighters battled a house fire in the Arlington area early Tuesday morning, which is where a man died over the weekend.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department arrived around 5:15 a.m. at a home on Hare Avenue, which is a couple blocks from Woodland Acres Elementary School.

JFRD at the scene told Action News this is the same location where 22-year-old Jatarvis Johnson was found shot to death and another person was wounded over the weekend.

FHP has also dispatched the State Fire Marshal to the scene at 5:45 a.m. Sgt. Roger Lewis with JFRD said at the scene confirmed the fire is arson.

No one at the home was injured, said Lewis.
