Fireworks show part of downtown Jacksonville's New Year's celebration

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Plans are set for this year's New Year's Eve celebrations in downtown Jacksonville.

Celebrations begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Jacksonville Landing with live music.

The city of Jacksonville's fireworks display will begin at midnight.
     
The fireworks can be seen along the Northbank and Southbank of the St. Johns River.

All pedestrian and vehicle traffic on the Main Street Bridge will be temporarily stopped from 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 to approximately 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, Jan.1. Waterway traffic near the Main Street Bridge will also be halted during this time.
 
Hogan Street from Water Street to the cul-de-sac at the St. Johns River will be closed from Monday, Dec. 29 thru Jan. 1.
