Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- This morning is dry and warm with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
- Today will be another hot one with highs in the middle 90s and feels-like temperatures 105+ across the region.
- An isolated to widely scattered storm is possible late this afternoon and evening, but there will be a lot of dry time today.
- Hazards in any late-day storms will be frequent lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds.
- The next few days will be very hot with afternoon highs close to records.
- We also will transition to a stormier pattern in the afternoons, so there should be more heat relief from periods of heavy rain and clouds.
- Many spots look to see several inches of rain over the next week.
- We’ll be watching hot temperatures and some thunderstorms around for the Jags pre-season game Friday.
