JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This morning is dry and mild with temperatures in the 70s under mostly clear skies.
- Temperatures will quickly heat up again today through the middle and upper 90s.
- Humidity will push feels like temperatures to near/above 108°F this afternoon.
- Everyone should practice heat safety by staying hydrated and limiting outdoor work during the hottest part of the day.
- Another round of afternoon/evening storms are expected today, especially for northeast Florida.
- With abundant tropical moisture in place, storms will be capable of producing torrential rainfall, as well as strong wind gusts and frequent lightning.
- Thursday and Friday will be hot and humid days with some afternoon storms.
- The Jags preseason game Friday will feature hot temperatures in the 90s (feels like 100s) but cooling during the game from sunset and/or a few areas of rain and storms nearby.
- This weekend will be seasonally hot with some afternoon storms.
