JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- The onshore winds out of the southeast are taking over, so evening showers & storms will be well inland – west of Highway 301 to I-75. Partly cloudy otherwise with lows in the 70s.
- Friday will be partly sunny with isolated morning showers near the coast shifting inland through the day with a few storms developing inland. Rain will again be well west of Jacksonville by late afternoon.
- The weekend will be partly sunny with scattered showers & t’storms. Highs will range from the upper 80s at the beaches to the low 90s inland.

Tropics:
- No areas of concern across the Atlantic. Next name: “Cristobal”. Weak low pressure may try to develop northeast of Florida through the weekend, but tropical development is not expected. Some long-range models indicate a possible longer track system moving across the Atlantic by mid-month. Plenty of time to watch/track/monitor/discuss.
