JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Isolated hit-or-miss storms are getting going this afternoon
- The best chance for storms will be in NE FL pushing south of I-10 before sunset
- Monday will bring slightly more storms in the afternoon & evening
- Tuesday then looks like the wettest day of this week
- We’ll still see a few storms each day through next weekend
- The Gulf sea breeze meeting the Atlantic sea breeze will be the features to watch for storms
- The I-95 & Hwy 301 corridors will be the spots to watch for the heaviest rain each day
- We may see storms around Jax for the Jags Preseason Finale Friday evening
- Temperatures stay just above average each day - still not but not as hot as last week
TROPICS
- There are two areas to watch but no concern at this time
- A tropical wave SE of Bermuda is headed north into the open ocean
- Another tropical wave is moving off Africa soon
- This system may develop into a tropical depression/named storm
- Early indications keep this system regardless of strength out to sea
- “Dolly” and “Edouard” are the next names up
