JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Showers & storms all afternoon across SE Ga. will be ending while new showers & storms pop across NE Florida & Jacksonville, producing pockets of heavy rain, gusty winds & frequent lightning… diminishing after by 8/9 pm
- Thursday & Friday will be seasonally hot with a few afternoon storms spreading east/northeast to the beaches by late in the day.
- Winds will become more onshore – out of the SE – over the weekend, pushing the best rain chances more inland.
- The Jags game Fri. evening will be partly cloudy with temps. in the 80s preceded by a few storms.

Tropics:
- Tracking: a tropical wave over the East Atlantic has the potential to slowly develop but will encounter strong wind shear upon approach to the NE Caribbean. Since the disturbance looks to be staying weak, a more westward track is the call but – again – as a weak system. Next Atlantic name: “Dolly” (!!)
