JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s a mild morning with a few clouds overhead.
- Rain is streaming up toward I-75 this morning
- Showers will approach Jax as early as 8-9 AM this morning
- Storms will then push toward the beaches and offshore mid-afternoon
- There will still be a shower/storm or two near Downtown Jax thru 7-8 PM
- The Jags game & Friday Night Football will largely be dry
- Winds turn easterly & onshore beginning Saturday
- Rain & storms will focus near I-95 midday, shifting inland through the day
- That will be the pattern and movement of rain each day through next week
- Rip currents will increase at the beaches
- Onshore winds will cool our daytime high temps slightly
TROPICS
- Tropical Storm Dolly is way out there in the Central Atlantic
- Dolly is moving westbound toward the Caribbean
- Dolly will weaken to an open wave of low pressure on approach to the Lesser Antilles
- Spots from the Virgin Islands to Puerto Rico to Hispaniola will see rain & gusty winds this weekend
- Dolly poses no threat to the U.S.
