JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- A few showers & storms are firing this afternoon west of Jax
- Rain & storms will shift inland the rest of the evening
- Additional rain will develop up in SE GA but also will track westward and farther inland
- Heads up near the coast Sunday morning for a few showers
- Areas of rain will track inland thru the day once again on Sunday
- The weather pattern remains unchanged thru Tuesday of next week
- There will be a few storms tracking farther inland each day with locally heavy rain
- Another onshore wind surge moves in on Thursday
- Drier air moves in behind that wind surge
- Slightly cooler temps will be moving in as well
TROPICS
- Tropical Depression #6 is 2000 miles away from Jax in the NE Atlantic
- It will strengthen to Tropical Storm Fay soon as it meanders south & west
- This system is not coming to the U.S.
- There are no other areas of concern
