Tropics:
- 3 areas to track: (Tropical storm Cristobal has dissipated within 24 hours of being upgraded) (1) A tropical wave won’t develop upon approach to the Caribbean due to strong wind shear but squalls will impact the Lesser Antilles tomorrow night/Saturday… (2) stronger wave over the Eastern Atlantic does have the potential to develop – approaching the NE Caribbean or SW Atlantic next week where conditions continue to look marginal at best, so the system should struggle in the longer range even though the system may strengthen in the shorter range…. (3) Central Pacific: tropical storm “Lala” will go just south of the Big Island of Hawaii Saturday with at least some impact for most of the Hawaiian islands over the weekend.
