Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- This morning is dry with temperatures in the 70s.
- Today will be hot, especially for mid-September standards. Highs will range 90-95 degrees with feels like temperatures 100-105.
- More afternoon storms are expected, moving from west to east. They will push offshore by sunset.
- Storms today will be capable of brief torrential rain, frequent lightning strikes, and gusty winds.
- Sunday will be similarly hot with a few more late afternoon storms, but the coverage should not be as high as today.
- The Jags game will be HOT and we’ll be watching for storms nearby during the second half of the game.
- Onshore winds return next week with “cooler” afternoons, gusty winds at the coast, and a few occasional showers.
