Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- This morning is quiet with temperatures in the 70s under mostly clear skies. A few areas of fog will persist inland through sunrise.
- Temperatures will be warmer today compared to yesterday with more sunshine. Highs will rise into the lower 90s.
- Afternoon showers and storms are expected across the area today. Where they occur, brief torrential rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning are expected.
- Rain will come to an end by sunset today.
- Back to school Monday will feature seasonally hot temperatures in the low 90s with a few afternoon storms. The morning commute to school will be dry.
- Though an isolated shower/storm remains possible through the week, drier days will lead to hotter temperatures, mainly in the middle 90s.
