JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Winds out of the east continue to bring shower bands quickly onshore, moving west/southwest through tonight into Wednesday. Rough at our beaches with a high rip current risk where temps will top out in the low to mid 80s… 85-90 inland.
- Winds will become more southerly by Thursday through the weekend so high temps. return to 90+ with scattered heavy afternoon/early evening showers & storms.

Tropics:
- Tracking: No areas of concern across the Atlantic Basin. Peak of the season is Thu. Sept. 10. Next name: “Fay”. Friday will tie the record for the satellite era of the deepest into the Atlantic hurricane season without a hurricane. Hurricane “Lowell” has made its closest approach to Hawaii & will move away while weakening over the next couple days. Always more: “Talking the Tropics With Mike”.
