JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Heavy showers & t’storms will end by early this evening with partly cloudy skies overnight.
- Hot temps. Return Thursday with only isolated afternoon storms. Highs will be 95-100 with feel-like temps. 103-108.
- Friday & Saturday will be hot & humid with a few afternoon storms, with a higher coverage of rain thanks to a couple of upper-level disturbances. Highs will still reach the 90s.
- Back to isolated storms for Sunday & Monday with highs continuing to be near records – well into the 90s.

Tropics:
- 4 areas to track: (1) Tropical storm Cristobal was upgraded Wed. morning over the open N. Atlantic – no threat to any land areas & should dissipate in a few days. (2) A tropical wave won’t develop upon approach to the Caribbean due to strong wind shear but squalls will impact the Lesser Antilles this weekend… (3) stronger wave over the Eastern Atlantic does have the potential to develop – approaching the NE Caribbean or SW Atlantic next week where conditions continue to look marginal at best, so the system should struggle in the longer range even though the system may strengthen in the shorter range…. (4) Central Pacific: a disturbance may become a tropical storm or even a hurricane upon approach to Hawaii this weekend.
