Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- This morning is dry with a few areas of fog and temperatures in the mid-70s.
- This afternoon will be hot and humid with highs in the low 90s and feels like temperatures in the low 100s.
- Showers and storms will develop once again, especially across north Florida today south of I-10. Drier weather is expected for south Georgia.
- Storms will contain frequent lightning strikes, very heavy rain, and gusty winds.
- Sunday will feature similar heat and humidity with more afternoon storms. Georgia will see more storms in the late afternoon/early evening, some of which could be strong or severe.
- Labor Day Monday will be hot with more showers and thunderstorms, some heavy.
- Localized flooding is possible under any slow-moving storm over the next few days. Many neighborhoods will pick up an additional 1-3″ of rain over the next week.
