TROPICS: The strong ocean storm south of New England became Subtropical Storm Melissa earlier today. This storm will continue tracking east and northeast tonight lessening coastal impacts for New England and the Mid-Atlantic. Melissa is expected to lose subtropical characteristics by tomorrow night. Otherwise, we are not tracking any areas of immediate concern.
