The First Alert Weather team is tracking a mostly clear and warm Monday morning and another hot and humid afternoon.

High temperatures will make it back to the lower 90s inland. Scattered showers and storms should develop between 1 and 3 p.m. These storms will make their way back east. Locally heavy rainfall and lightning are the main threats. However, a gusty wind is always possible in thunderstorms. Tuesday’s forecast is expected to be similar to Monday.

Coverage of showers and storms begins to lessen as we get to Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Highs will be heating up to the mid to upper 90s by the weekend.

TROPICS: All eyes are now on a broad area of low pressure in the Central Atlantic Ocean. This low pressure will likely develop into a tropical depression or tropical storm in the next one to two days. This system will likely become “Isaias.”

We will be tracking this feature into the Lesser Antilles by Wednesday or Wednesday night. It is too early to tell if this storm will threaten the U.S. or simply stay out to sea.
