JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — RIGHT NOW: Cloudy, breezy, bands of rain, heavy at times moving from east to west.

Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect in the forecast:
- On and off rain, heavy at times, will continue through Tuesday night with ponding and some localized flooding.
- The heaviest rain will shift south of most of the area Wednesday but still some showers at times, along with gusty winds, especially at/near the beaches and the St. Johns River.
- Heavier rain potential returns Thursday for areas south of Jacksonville with a few showers from Interstate 10 north across Southeast Georgia.
- Showers and storms will bring locally heavy rainfall Friday-Saturday.
- Some sun will emerge for Sunday but still with scattered showers and storms as what should be “Isaias” moves to near the Central or Eastern Gulf coast.
- There will continue to be a threat for some beach erosion and localized flooding, especially at times of high tide through the weekend. Temperatures will be warm trending higher by the weekend as winds become more southerly.

TROPICS: Eye on the Western Gulf for likely tropical depression & eventually “Isaias”. Early indications are a possible landfall anywhere from Louisiana to Florida Panhandle this weekend. Local impacts should be limited unless track ends up farther east. Always more: “Talking the Tropics With Mike”.
