First Alert Weather: Wetter and cooler days ahead

Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:

  • It’s been a wet Friday with everyone in our area getting at least some rain
  • Rain totals have exceeded 1″ in Duval with spots in Nassau getting 2-3″
  • Showers will try to lift back up into NE FL this evening
  • Friday Night Football will be dry & humid for most but heads up for a shower or two
  • Keep the umbrellas handy this weekend
  • The latest forecast data has rain before sunrise Saturday morning
  • Then bands of rain & storms move across the area Saturday evening and again Sunday evening
  • It’s not going to rain all weekend long but there will be rain & storms at times
  • Next week looks cloudy & dreary with off-and-on rain & winds increasing on Tuesday
  • Some neighborhoods will get 3-5″ of rain when all is said and done late week next week
  • Temperatures stay slightly cooler due to the clouds & increased rain

TROPICS

  • National Hurricane Center has highlighted the remnants of Fay with low chances of development
  • This system is SE or Bermuda out in the middle of nowhere
  • This is not a concern for Florida or the U.S.
  • There are no other areas of concern
